Choosing the right destination is crucial for a successful overnight getaway. We opted for a place that is not too far away, ensuring that travel time is minimal. This way, we could maximize our time together and minimize any potential stress caused by long journeys.
We were delighted to find, Stone House Inn in Little Compton, RI only 40 minutes away from home. During their off season they offer a Stay and Save deal. We reserved the DINE & STAY which included an overnight stay and a three-course dinner in the Tap Room Restaurant, a former speakeasy during the Prohibition era.
Prior to dinner we were able to take a leisurely stroll hand in hand, and explored the private beach nearby. We shared a delicious meal in their Tap Room, we savored each bite and relishing in the pleasure of good food and good company with impeccable service.
As the evening unfolded, we took the opportunity to unwind and relax after dinner and soaked in their Japanese style soaking tub, we prioritized comfort and well-being. This overnight escape was all about rejuvenation and recharging our batteries.
